Using Multiple Keywords in Your Content Makes For Better Copywriting and Improves SEO

If you are creating content for your small business website and you have done your keyword research, you likely have a list of keywords as long as your arm.
Now you are faced with creating articles and web pages for all of those phrases to get indexed in the search engines in order to grab as much traffic as you can.
An experienced internet marketer will understand that it is in their best interest to sort those keywords into smaller groups of related keyword phrases.
You should have a few main phrases that you have researched and found to be the main traffic grabbers or highest converting words.
These are generally shorter phrases.
The related keywords are more than likely long-tail or consist of more than three words.
The benefits of using keyword groups:
  1. It cuts the amount of content you must create by 25%- to 50%.
If you have 100 keywords and you reduce it to groups of four, then you only have to write 25 pages of content instead of one hundred.
  2. You will not be tempted to keyword stuff your copy-write.
When you focus your writing on one keyword, it is very easy to get carried away.
We have all read those articles and web pages that sound like they are written by a robot because the same words appear over and over throughout the page.
It is not a very pleasant read and your visitors will certainly not come back for more.
  3. You will end up grabbing more traffic than you expected because you will naturally include more and more long-tail phrases within your content if you are not solely concentrating on one word.
Keep your money word for things like titles and headings and scatter the rest of your related keywords throughout the body of your writing.
It will have a natural feel to it that your readers will appreciate and it will cover more ground with the search engines.
Here is an example, let's say your main keyword is: Hybrid Cars.
You could easily group that main keyword with these related ones: improved gas mileage, reducing your carbon footprint, best rated electric cars, reduced gas emissions.
You can use that main keyword in all of your title tags, headings, image alt tags, image file names, etc.
Using the related keywords throughout your content will produce a well written article that will give your readers some great information as well as an entertaining read without ever feeling like your keywords are being stuffed down their throats.
