How to Install a Drivers Side Mirror on a 2004 Suburban

    • 1). Pull open the driver's door using the handle. Pull off the panel in the upper right corner of the door panel by hand. Pull the foam insulation out of the cavity in the door. Unplug the power mirror harness from the mirror using your hands.

    • 2). Roll down the window. Reach your left hand through the window opening, and hold the mirror by the bottom outside edge so you can support the weight. Unbolt the mirror from the door using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Remove the old mirror.

    • 3). Put the replacement mirror into the door panel, supporting it in the same manner you supported the old mirror in step 2. Bolt it in place with the ratchet. Plug the two harnesses together and push the interior panel onto the door until it is solidly clipped in place.
